How or what do I do with the Crystals on landscape or caves

Found cave with a crystal blocking an entrance. So how do I get through it

The crystal in the cave is part of a puzzle,there are certain stones with aarows on them. There are also some stones that are shooting orbs to different directions so what you have to do is place the stones with the arrows in front of the orbs to redirect it. Then the orb will destroy the crystal!! Now as for crystal in the wild,you need to level up your mining skill

Thanks, figured out cave puzzle.

But how about the crystals NOT in caves

You need level 3 mining to mine the crystals throughout Balrum. As for that crystal blocking your path, that was part of a puzzle where you had to guide that Arcane Ball shooting out of the stone thing into the crystal by pushing the blocks with arrows on them to direct the ball into the crystal.
