How to cast a slide show in chromecast?

Hi,
I have created a Google Photos album that I would like to cast to my tv on Christmas Eve. On my laptop, I can choose to display the album as a slide show, but Google Play does not give my HP laptop as an option for downloading thw Chromecast ap.
I have Chromecast ap on my phone. I can open the album on my phone. I cannot chose to display it as a slideshow from my phone.
Is it possible for me to cast photos without having to swipe through them?
Any advice?

If you haven't already, I would suggest to download the Google Photos app to your phone. From there you can cast to your Chromecast as long as your phone is on the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast. You can also add your Google Photos albums to be viewed in the backdrop of your Chromecast and you won't have to swipe through them from your phone.
