I like your ideas, i just brainstroming too. I don't really know what i saying is true or false for a game I just running my brain.
An old role played rpg game, Gorky-17 , there is a oppurtinity to take defense formation in it's own turn, and your attack will make more damage if you hit the enemies side or back. When i read your ideas about defense i remembered Gorky-17.
For the Logistics i think about food supply, sorry for that But yes the stamina/health increase is a good idea for that
