Ridiculous trap/ clueless
I went hunting for the guard's ring and near the old ruins , I got surrounded by a large square area of fires. The only thing there is three blocks. There is nothing else of any import there. What is the puzzle about??!! you do not get a clue about that... much less how to solve it. If it is about diverting the spark shooting from the stationary rock by using the other 3 rocks...divert it to what??!! There ain't nothing there to divert it to. Ok... If it ain't that, then do the blocks go into the holes?? No, and I moved them around for 45 minutes to just about every location. Why put a stupid trap like that into the game.... With no inkling as to what it is about... Much less how to solve it??!!
It is like handing someone two marbles, telling them to solve the puzzle, and then walking away. You are left there with two marbles, and expected to read the marble-givers mind as to what the Hell the puzzle "IS".... And then you go solve it. Granted, this is no Legend of Grimrock II... Which had some complex puzzles to solve... But you at least had a sign to read, or some other clue to make sure you knew "what the puzzle was about"...Whether you solved it or not. Also the scene would always " re-set" upon leaving and coming back. Not so here. if you make a wrong move in this game the puzzle can trap you and break your whole game if you saved right before it happened. It is hard enough trying to understand a minuscule manual that goes into detail just enough to confuse you at best.... But purposely trapping a player and leaving them clueless is absolutely stupid, and unnecessary. If the developers are out there... How about explaining this atrocity.
