So my dog is gone, idk if its dead or just missing but how do I get him back? Also cannot find where to go for the well quest. I went down the well, cannot get through bars and it says to find another way down. I have been all over town and cannot find where I am supposed to go. help pls.
Are there any guides for this game from start to finish?

On your main screen there should be a button for your dog. That button will pop up a list of options. If your dog is alive and off screen, the 'recall' option should teleport it to you. If it isn't alive and you either have the Phoenix ring or a Phoenix egg, you should have a resurrect option.
